Yes, you can use the Telekom ONT if it is your own. If it is just for rental of your Telekom contract, you have to send it back to Telekom.

Hello @Nawart ,

Welcome to the community.
We're delighted that you're interested in a fiber optic connection with us.
You can also use the router with a connection from us. However, you cannot use the ONT, as it is tied to a DTAG connection. You will need to get a new one.

You can find instructions for your router from the manufacturer.

Best regards
Maria

@o2_Maria , So what type of ONT i can get, any ONT can work or only spesifc ones? from the website when i’m trying to initiate the contract, i don’t see any option for ONT , only Firtzbox routers with builtin Modems.

Thank you

When you are on the page to choose the router, you have to select that you want to use your own:

Later in the process, you have to enter your Modem ID which is the ID of your Telekom modem.

Inside “Schnittstellenbeschreibung” (https://www.telefonica.de/impressum/schnittstellenbeschreibungen-der-betreiber-oeffentlicher-tknetze.html) you can read all about the requirements of the ONTs to use.

Hello @Nawart,

have you succeeded with the connection?

I have the same problem, I connected Telekom ONT, changed Modem ID on the O2 portal, but the ONT is blinking green continuously, means no link established. After I changed Modem ID, my FritzBOX has lost fiber connection, means changes have been applied.

Hello @o2_Bianca,

the situation is unchanged, still no answer or solution. So far I use FritzBox in bridge mode to passthrough PPPoE connection to my UniFi gateway, but would be happy to get rid of it and replace with Telekom ONT.

Hey @VolodymyrD ,

The Telekom ONT you have must be “registered” with us. The best way to do this is by phone. You can also contact our English hotline:
