I have been using O2 DSL at 50Mbit/sec (DSL Classic M tariff) since 2015 have been very pleased with the performance with stable speeds of 46Mbit/s download and 9Mbit/s upload.

However, in mid-September the performance sank to 11Mbit/s download, 2Mbit/s upload and since then there has been no improvement.

I believe the reduction in performance occurred when Deutsche Telekom ‘upgraded’ the service in my area to vectored VDSL2. Are there any changes I need to make to my Fritz!Box 7490 router or is the problem elsewhere?

I hope you can fix this quickly.

Thanks

@andyp830x can you post a Screenshot from your DSL Informationen from your Fritzbox please?

Thanks for your response. Please find attached the DSL information from my Fritzbox and screenshot the Speedtest history showing the speeds before and after the switch from ITU G993.2 to ITU G993.5 (G.Vector). The Störsicherheit setting are currently set to maximum performance. I have tried changing these settings to maximum stability but it made very little difference to the performance.

Hi @andyp830x,

I checked your line and found out that there seems to be a bigger disturbance since October 9th 2019.

Pls get in touch with our technical department 0800-5251378

They will send an error ticket to Telekom.

Greetings
