o2 DSL M upgrade to o2 Home spot wifi Unlimited

Dear Team,

I am o2 DSL customer since last 2 months. Totally disappointing due to some reason.

  1. whats app calls keep on re-connecting. - Main issue
  2.  Sometimes you-tube calls buffering.

I have Homebox 6741. As i seen on community there are lot of negative feed back for this router. Then I ask router upgrade free of charge from o2 due to current issue. they simply denied and asked me to pay 59.99 euro initial payment and 4.99 monthly. Monthly 4.99 is fine for me. But I am not agree to 59.99 payment because this is issue from o2. Not from side.

Please let me know any solution for this.

or else is there any option to upgrade this connection to o2 home spot unlimited WIFI connection……

Edit o2_Lars: Transfered from  DSL/Router to English/Broadband

Since when does the o2 homebox 6741 have an English user interface?
As far as I can see from the screenshot, you have had an internet connection for more than 17 hours. Therefore, there is no indication that your internet connection has been interrupted.

If you don't like the o2 Homebox 6741, you can always terminate the rental and use your own VDSL router according to the interface specification. I would check beforehand if you have set an unused WLAN channel and if the 2.4 GHz and the 5 GHz WLAN have been given different names. Both are typical examples of unsuitable configuration by the user.

The o2 Homespot is a mobile phone product and can therefore not be used with a DSL connection. By the way, the device is from the same manufacturer as the o2 Homebox 6741, which you do not want to use anymore.

If I buy new router my self can I return o2 router to o2 and avoid 2.99 rental per month.

@Dushan yes you can. I strongly recommend this over the o2 dsl return portal.

Hi @Dushan

Yes that is possible. As Joe Doe mentioned that is an option.

You could test a Fritzbox first to see if that changes you connection performance.

(for example order one via Amazon and return the router if nothing change with new hardware)

If you need any assistance dont hesitate to get back to us.
