@o2_Kathi

This is not a misunderstanding.

I do not feel misunderstood — I am pointing out a factual, verifiable issue:

I was never issued a valid contract.

I have not received full documentation.

I have not been informed of any official cancellation.

I have been continuously charged despite the lack of a contract.

Please do not reduce this situation to emotions.

This is not about how I feel. This is about what has happened.

@Lionesse I often write with a translator who probably doesn't translate exactly the tone I want to convey. As my colleague has already written, we are sorry that we cannot provide you with any further information here.

Today is September 10th, 2025 — one month and eight days since I submitted my objection and formal request for full documentation, including a copy of my contract.

What do you think — have I received those documents?

Meanwhile, my payment history has been removed from the O₂ portal, but the disputed service contract still exists. The principal amount claimed by Riverty does not match my bank records — they are demanding more than what could realistically be owed.

This leads to an absurd situation:

– My bank data shows one thing,

– The first collection agency demands amount X,

– The second one demands amount Y,

– And neither of these figures matches reality.

And yet O₂ still doesn’t consider it necessary to provide me with a copy of my contract or a clear breakdown of how the alleged debt was calculated.
Such a great company 😁

Can someone please tell me how to cancel my contract with O₂?

In my O₂ portal, the contract section is not accessible (Error 404), so I cannot make any changes.

And I would love to keep my number.

To keep your number you just need to port it to the new provider. The new provider should have a form for this.

Good morning @Lionesse.

When we transfer a claim to an external debt collection agency, they are responsible for resolving the matter with you. I understand that you are frustrated about how long it is taking to process.

Have you contacted the debt collection agency?

So you still have an active contract with us? Did the cancellation via the link provided by bs0 work?

@o2_Kathi

Thank you for your reply.

  1. The claim was transferred to a debt collection agency before you provided the documents I had already requested multiple times, including a copy of the signed contract.
  2. Under German and EU consumer law, it is O₂’s legal obligation, not a third party’s, to provide the contract and a detailed itemized bill before any enforcement action. The collection agency itself has confirmed that they do not have any contract-related documentation.
  3. Therefore, transferring the claim without fulfilling these obligations is legally questionable and potentially invalid.
  4. Yes, I used the cancellation link and successfully terminated the contract. I have already signed a new agreement with another telecommunications provider.

@Lionesse Due to the transfer to the external debt collection agency we can at this time only provide necessary documents to this debt collection agency.

Best Regards,

Gerrit
