This is of course unfortunate if there is no cable connection in your apartment at all. The fastest way to clarify your issue is to call our customer service directly. There is also an English-speaking hotline.
They can cancel your cable order and order a DSL-connection for your. Please note that a new DSL order can take around 3 weeks to be activated.
Have you already received a cable router from us? Then please send it back after the contract is cancelled using our returns portal. You can print out a return sticker here or download a mobile parcel label as a QR code. The return is made with DHL and is free of charge.
