Hello,

I have an issue with my current HomeSpot LTE setup.

The overall reception in my house is poor and I can get only ~25 Mbit\s out of 50 as contract stated.

At the same time Vodafone network have better signal and supposed to speedup things a little bit (based on my phone reception)

Is there an option to use O2 HomeSpot with another network provider as part of Nationales Roaming?

Will be any additional cost withodrawn in such case?

Thank you.

The overall reception in my house is poor and I can get only ~25 Mbit\s out of 50 as contract stated.

This does not matter, as the contract only defines a maximum speed, but no minimum speed. See the product information sheet for your tariff.

Is there an option to use O2 HomeSpot with another network provider as part of Nationales Roaming?

There is no national roaming.

Have you already tried the LTE router at different positions in your apartment, does the speed change in some places?

Best regards

Steffen

Hello @o2_Steffen,

Speed is not changed significantly based on positions in your apartment.

The speed is changed based on the current network load if for e.g. it is early morning or late evening the speed can go up and vise versa if it is middle of the day the speed goes down.

I already tried another router (not that O2 send me) and it provide more reliable connection.

Is there an option to return O2 router since I don’t want to use it anymore?

Hello @lHolyDiverl ,

if you are using a rental HomeSpot, then you can return the unit at any point. The necessary documents for this can be found through our online return portal. Sending it back this way will be free of charge for you, and the unit itself will afterwards be removed from your contract so that you don’t have to pay the monthly fee anymore either.

Kind regards, Sven
