Hello I have a contract for 100 MBPS plan and in the beginning for 3 months i got 40 MBPS Speed and suddenly speed has been dropped to 4-5 MBPS i have been struggling with O2 customer care but seems like they are not able to find the problem and could not fix it ..is anyone here help me please

What kind of connection are you using, is it a normal DSL connection via landline or are you connected through cable? What kind of router are you using and how did you make the speedtests?

@raviwaghmare Can you please a complete screenshot from Internet/DSL Information/Overview and DSL incl DTU errors.

@raviwaghmare Please raise a technical ticket. Your line card in the DSLAM is working on an fall back profile that you can still online. Vectoring engine is complete off at your line card.

@raviwaghmare Die Linecard in der DSLAM arbeitet mit Fallback-Profil wegen Störung, damit der Anschluss überhaupt online sein kann.  Die Vectoring-Engine ist bei der Linecard komplett ausgeschaltet.

@raviwaghmare Technical Hotline will see the error because you have a Fritzbox. Please use the app from my link above for a pre ticket number. You can switch in the app to English.

Hello @Joe Doe  Another disappointment!!! Telekom technician came and just hung up all the connection and speed is now 9 MBPS only  ...when i ask him about the incoming speed from provided he said its 90 MBPS coming from provider but in my building its only 10 MBPS . he said Vectoring thig you explained above has to be fixed by O2 

 

Seems like O2 is clueless is there anything you can help with this. My daily work is affecting with this

Hello @Joe Doe one more update Seems like issue is fixed now.

after the technician left i contacted O2 customer and explained vectoring issue as above and seems like the did the profiling see below screen shot

one more thing is in that screenshot i can see line capacity up to 80 MBPS but i am getting only 50 MBPS is there more you can suggest which can increase my speed ?

 

 


@raviwaghmare Change the router back to Fritzbox 7590 AX or Fritzbox 7530 AX. The Fritzbox 7412 is to old or better the dsl driver and chipset build in where.

And a Fritzbox 75XX has the system language English to set.

What do you think? should i keep that 7590 AX router or this old one ?

 

 


@raviwaghmare Keep the 7590 AX. With the 7412 you can get problems to raise a technical ticket at o2.


@raviwaghmare Did you have more than one TAE connector in your apartment?
Can you please post a screenshot from the Fritzbox 7590 AX. 
Your speed is to low.

I can See Line Speed is only 90 MBPS and i am getting only 55 MBPS is there any way we can fix this?

 


@raviwaghmare Your Fritzbox is running in full performance mode?

I think so. For me it looks like that you have on your line a fixed 50 Mbit VDSL profile. Please raise a technical ticket and ask why a have a fixed profile. Please use the app I have mentioned above in my F.A.Q.

And I hope you know that you can switch the Fritzbox to an English user menu.

 


Hello @Joe Doe , i can see VDSL profile is not fixed it is set to full performance see in below screenshot. is this correct?

and yes i have an option to change region and change language setting now in this router

 

 


i also tried to raise technical ticket through O2 Service App and app says my speed looks Good 😑

@raviwaghmare Your VDSL profile is fixed to 50 Mbit. Only want verify that you don’t have „play“ with the line parameters under Störsicherheit.

Try to call the English speaking hotline and say that you have a fixed 50 Mbit profile and you have a my Home L with up to 100Mbit.

Than did you last time reboot you Fritzbox 7590 AX? I think today. Correct?

I checked and your contract is already set to the correct 100 MBit/s profile. My guess is that the line owner is capping your performance to improve stability, as there were several interruptions before when you were still using your old FritzBox 7412. If you let the 7590 AX running, this should improve on its own as the line looks to be stable now.

The 7412 is an older model so it’s for the best that you changed to a current model.
