how to use my own router with O2 glass fiber connection

I'm going to book a glass fiber connection O2 HomeL 300 for my new apartment it's new building and we have glassfiber id with kind of box I don't know.

My question is , what if i choose a plan without Router (go with - use your own router option) and as far as i know i need a ONT that converts fiber signals to normal cable ethernet, i have my tp link router on hand that supports Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) and static IP or DHCP . Not integrated fiber ports bcz it's not a moderm right!!

Do o2 provide ONT ? Or i should buy one moderm by myself. Or i just go with fritzbox. ?

If possible i want to use my own router tplink. Any help would be great full 😊 thanks

Hello @KevilDe,

you can always chose to go with your own router but we also offer at least two router models that can be used with fiber without any need for a fiber modem.

If you say there is a box attached to your fiber, maybe this is already an ONT/modem? Does it maybe have ethernet connections? Maybe your landlord knows more?

If you wish to recieve a fiber modem you can also get one while ordering the contract via phone.

Regards,
Lars
