Jessica thank you very much for sending me the necessary documents.

One question, I understand that I must send the deregistration certificate, but is it possible to send this at a later date? Since you can only recieve this one week before you leave, and I want to have my plan cancelled before then in order to pay the necessary fees before closing my bank account.

Is it okay to send other proofs of deregistration (i.e. flight plan, expiring VISA etc). and then send the deregistration in a different mail when I recieve it?

Hi @jenkrista‌,

we can not guarantee that the documents that you listed are enough to cancel the contract.

We do not confirm these cancellations. All those things confirmed in another department of the company. Please keep in mind, that for cancelling the contract the company charges 3 basic charges as detachment.

The deregistration certificate is definately needed. But alternatively you can send in a confirmation of your new employer or of the new renter. So, you can try that, of course. But, we can not guarantee that everything gets accepted. ⚠️

I would also like to cancel my o2 contract please as I have moved back to New Zealand. I have my Abmeldebestätigung and a letter ready to go.

Can you please email me the correct form I need to fill out and post?

Hello again,

I have sent all the relevant documents. I know that o2 has received them since they changed my contact information as requested. But they have not yet sent me billing, or any confirmation of this cancellation. I must receive the billing by the end of the week as I am closing my bank account then and leaving Germany, and will have no way of other payments.

I am in a similar situation, but I have actually already left the country. Also, I think that my contract has been going for over the initial agreed upon two year period. Can you please send me documents so that I can cancel my contract also?

we can not speed that all up.

You have to make sure that o2 has the possibillity to debit the money from a bank account in Germany.

Well the issue is that I am no longer a resident of Germany, and therefore no longer have a bank account as I had to close it upon leaving Germany.

Than you have to find a way to manage that otherwise or else you will have overdue fines etc.

Hello,

I sent the forms that you gave me with all the necessary documents to cancel my contract about three weeks ago by post. Even though it was sent from the US it should have probably arrived, so I just wanted to check to see if it did. Also, I no longer have a German bank account so O2 can't debit the money, but I was hoping after the cancellation documents arrived someone could tell me how much I need to pay finalize my account and close it and then I can wire the money from the US.

do you mean your normal mobile tariff or the remaining rates of the mobile phone all at once?

The remaining mobile traiff amounts you can't pay all at once.

For the mobile phone you can request to pay everything at once.

So, which one do you mean exactly? ☺️

Hello everyone,

I need to cancel my o2 dsl/festnetz contract. I have moved abroad, and have now been offered work here.

How long does it take to terminate my contract? I have already terminated my apartment contract, but am waiting on a letter from my Hausverwaltung to confirm this.

I assumed it was a months notice, but an unsure.

My family and I are moving from Germany to Switzerland, I am actually already living here, while they are organizing the moving. I tried to cancel my contract for my mobile, number 0176.XXX.2668 (Kundennummer: 6000300069), I sent a letter dated in mid-July via FAX and normal post requesting the cancellation, together with my Arbeitsvertrag from my new Job. So far I got no response, and this is terribly annoying. I now have the Anmeldungbestätigung and the Mietsvertrag in Bassersdorf (CH) where I now live. How should I proceeed. I also need to cancel my wife's contract because she will move here too. I am costumer from O2 for 5 years, I payed everything on time, and I would be very grateful if you can help me here.

Hello AnnaByrne,

therefore you just need to write a cancellation to the company. For DSL you don't need a special form. But please keep in mind that you also have to send your deregistration paper of the city, and the registration paper of the new city. And keep in mind that you maybe have to send back the router.

And after the cancellation you will have to pay 3 months fee (if it's a runtime contract).

For your DSL contract it's the same as also for AnnaByrne.

Hello luiz.morales,

the cancellation is still in process. You should receive a letter within the next days.

I can already tell you what is still missing:

- the deregistration form of your German city

- letter of agreement that the company can charge you three monthly fees at once as a replacement.

Just send these things to:

and they can finish your cancellation.

Hi Antje

I'm trying to cancel my DSL contract, and I understand that I need some kind of letter of agreement that the company is allowed to charge three monthly fees as a replacement. Where can I find this form?

There's a template?

What does it mean? That after cancellation i pay 3 months?
Or I still get internet and the contract will be terminated in three months?

I don't have the deregistration from Germany. I do have the registration from my new city of residence.  Is that enough? If not, what should I do?

I'm very lost, please help me ☺️

I am moving from Germany back to Malaysia on the 28th of September. I want to cancel my O2 Blue All-in L before then. I can't find the documents that I need to fill in as well as who to contact. Could you please send me the documents and the contact details? Please contact me as soon as possible. I want to settle this while I'm in Germany.
