Hi,

I have o2 DSL M and it has been very good, over the last few weeks I have noticed more frequent disconnections sometime last 2 or 3 minutes but also last longer.

I have a Fritz 7530 AX, there are a number of devices connected to the router either Ethernet or Wifi and when the connection drops it drops for all devices. My home devices are still accessible via the router.

From the router log:

The router is set to auto update.

I’ve tried rebooting the router when it happens and I have exchanged the cable between the telephone outlet and the router still the same thing keeps happening.

ANy suggestions are welcomed.

Regards

Gavin Munn

Hi @gav

Welcome to our o2 Community 💙 In this case i recommand our o2 my service app

The app can help you when facing connection problems with you DSL, Wifi or mobile phone contract. After you have installed the app you can switch via settings to english language.

So maybe you can give it a shot, I'm sure the app can help you.

Best Regards Matze

Hi

I’ll wait for the next disconnection and try.

I did use the app before and it gave me a ref number  and said to call support, unfortunately I no longer have it.

Regards

Gavin

Please provide the details, the spectrum views and other pages of the FRITZ!Box web interface that might be helpful here. How many phone jacks do you have? Do you use Powerline data adapters?

Hello @gav ,

how are things looking at your end? Have there been any further disconnections or is your line running stable again?

We are looking forward to your response.

Kind regards, Sven

Hi Sven,

I’ve just been checking the log and it looks like there have been some very short disconnections in the early hours of the morning, but not during the day to cause any problems.

SOmeone asked for the spectrum views:

Hello @gav ,

we can also see a few disconnections basically every day for your connection, it would probably be a good idea if you were to contact the technical department via hotline or chat. Do you have someone that could translate for you in that case?

Kind regards, Sven

@gav How many DTU errors you have. Please post the complete screen from Internet/DSL information/DSL

I can try the Chat the weekend and use google translate…..hopefully :)

@gav With what type of DSLAM you are connected? Internet/DSL Information/Overview and how many reconnects have you each day? Internet/DSL Informatio/Statistik over 7 days please.

FOr the last couple of weeks I’ve working form the office so it has not been as noticeable, from the log they occur more at night or weekends.

@gav I know that the 7590 AX have problems the Adtran line cards and last firmware.
ASSIA/DLM is active on your line. Because you have only a my home M you only should interested in a stable line. Please choose expand view (main menu left side down) and play under Internet/DSL/interference immunity(don’t know the correct menu tab translation. Lazy to switch my box to English)

You line Parameter looks good overall for me. Powerline Adapter you don’t use at your apartment? This is poison for a stable VDSL line.

Ok I will try that later today, thankyou for your help.

I think I need to enable this first?

I can’t see the same options otherwise.

If i upgrade to the faster internet I will need to enable this again I suppose? This was my plan but only when the line is stable to use it.

@gav here are the options. 😉 Pull down the menu.

Yeah for some reason they don’t show….is there an advanced mode to turn on?

Its in advanced view

@gav You click on Interference Resistance Settings and no menu appears? Strange. You have already the Advanced View, because you have now the tap Line Settings.

Yes nothing but the “use previous DSL version”, I’ll try to figure out why

Hello @gav ,

that is certainly odd. I’m not sure if the 7530AX has the same problems as the 7590AX with certain linecards, but it might be worth a try to update to this newest “Labor” Version for the firmware. It comes with updated VDSL drivers, that supposedly fix several of the issues the 7590AX has, maybe the same will be true for your 7530AX. If PLC-Adapters are being used definitely try your connection with them for a while, if possible you could also ask your direct neighbors if they use them, as this could also affect your connection.

Kind regards, Sven
