I applied for the DSL provider change from Vodafone to O2 and the O2 sales executive confirmed me that they have talked to vodafone executive and gave me an installation date as 04 Sep 2023. I even have that in written as a email from O2. Later after 14 days, I got another email from O2 stating that your installation date has been postponed to 17 June 2024. Now I am trying to cancel the O2 contract and the sales executive is not cancelling that. I want to get the O2 contract cancelled as I can’t wait for one more year to get the new contract.

It seems that your contract with Vodafone still has a term of just under a year. In such a case, unfortunately, we have no option to terminate the contract early there.

I'm sorry that the o2 shop didn't want to cancel the order. Unfortunately, for contracts concluded with a local shop, there is no right of withdrawal in accordance with the Fernabsatzgesetz.

A cancellation would be a goodwill decision that only the Shop can make. Unfortunately we cannot cancel these contracts.
