Hi,

in my opinion there is no way to install o2 DSL at a Vodafone Easy Box so you need a free router like a Fritzbox or you rent a o2 Hombox from o2.

The Easy Box is only configured for a Vodafone connection.

The 803 is a ADSL+ Router most connections are VDSL . the 803 is out of Date. Buy a Fritzbox 7530 there is an international version. The interface could speak English. About 120€.

If the Internet user name provided by o2 ends at @s93.bbi-o2.de, this is a VDSL connection. But the DSL router you bought does not support VDSL therefore your device does not correspond to the current interface description and can not be used.

According to the o2 terms and conditions, which you have agreed to with your order, the customer may only use devices that correspond to the current interface description. It is not the fault of o2 if you buy unsuitable equipment. Feel free to rent a suitable router from o2, but please be aware that all routers rented by o2 support German language only.

The problem is the incompatible box. Try to fill up a Tesla with gas - is the same problem.  To use the very old 803-box, you need a additional VDSL-Modem. See english manual of the box.

btw: the box ist VoIP-incompatible since 7 years

This router is from 2012! You can’t run Windows 16 Bit Application on a Windows 10 PC.

If you buy a door stopper O2 is not responsible for it. And even if the physical connection will work. The 803 will not work because it is locked to the Vodafone network.

What a hopeless community....  :D

Hello all critics. And also Mr. Elon musk I have run the tesla with gas. :D

I have updated the firmware and now it's working. I thought may be anyone will support but you guys start to pull my leg. I am also an automation engineer so I am habitual to make troubleshoot conditions. But you all hopeless guy. Specially Mr. Elon musk (Klaus) start rubbished like old grany 😃

Now I am gonna put steps on youtube so no one waste their valuable earn money to buy uncessary new wlan box. Thanks O2 critics of your rubbish comments :D

I have updated the firmware and now it's working.

If your easybox 803 works now, obviously your internet user name does not end with @s93.bbi-o2.de and therefore your DSL connection is no VDSL connection. As there was no reaction from you, no other help could be provided.

Sad to see that an engineer was not able to do a firmware update before asking others for help.

Please include in your video how you made your vodafone easybox 803 working with o2 phone services. Might be interesting for other customers.

OMG  - think about security with such an old and unsupported device!  Also Vodafone would say “ don´t use this router”

Guys it's working. I found firmware from Vodafone link. Soon I will put video on youtube.

Guy am very sure that this no VDSL connection. If you tell me the easysbox 803 is working on a VDSL line, I tell you you are a liar.  And telephone is obviously not working because the corresponding LED is off.

I looking forward for the video, because I can’t believe that an adsl router works with a vdsl connection.

which speed is provided, maybe you got lucky and connected to an old Adsl Profil, because no vdsl slot was available?

Auf das Video werden wir wohl ewig warten können.
