DSL Connection problem


Hello,

I've ordered o2 MyHome L on 22.02.2022. In the shop they told me the earliest termin for tehnician to come is 10.03. So two days ago I waited whole day for someone to come only to see an email that says internet is activated. Ok next thing I do is connect my router after 2 hours since the activation but i cannot connect to the internet(DSL lamp blinks, new router, never used bought just for this occasion. And yes i tried to reset it to factory settings later.)

So i thought maybe it's my fault, maybe I haven't entered correct password or something. I went to check my mailbox just to be sure and there i find a note from a tehnician saying that he is sorry that we didn't meet (I was apperently not available) and that i should appoint another termin. After going through abysmal voicemail service i finnaly get to talk to a human beign that says that my connection is active and should be working. She tells me later that they will send a tehnician and if I'm lucky he will call me the same day, but he will definitely call me the next day(11.03). Of course he didn't call me and after reading in forums others people complaints over the problem same as my and since it is so hard to get support I don't want to end up waiting 1 more month to get what i pay for. Either we solve this in earliest possible time or I'm canceling my contract while I still can.

What is the brand and model of your router?

Is there more that 1 phone socket?

Tell the hot line that you get no DSL sync.

Only 1 phone socket with 3 connection points, DSL is connected in the middle one, although i have tried the right one aswell with no luck.(Left one is a bit different and requires different cabel)

Which hotline? Customer service or technical problems?

I have contacted customer service the same day (11.03.) as already suggested. They said someone will come the same day if I’m lucky but if not someone will definitely come the next day (12.03. Saturday). Of course none came. I’ve noticed that my apartment is in a building with two house numbers. Left side of building is number 4 and right side number 2. And me being on the left side, and my mailbox and everything under number 4 it was for me logic that I’m house number 4 as well, but on paper this apartment is house number 2. I reported that personally in the o2 shop where they said that should not be the problem and that I should let technician solve the problem. I called once again customer service(14.03.) and they said that is of course the problem and that I must change my address and make “Umzug” which I must pay. That is not the problem since everything was my fault. He said someone will come in 3 work days. After 3 work days none was here. Than I had to call again(17.03.) and than they said that is impossible for someone to come in 3 days. It should pass more than 2 weeks after changing the address before someone is allowed to come. I wanted to end my contract, but I was offered 1 month prepaid mobile unlimited internet. That was for me ok since I bought internet for the internet. But I still haven’t got nothing.

Hello @Josip350 ,

if both halves of the building are supplied by a single APL that sits in the half that is the Number 2, then it would be correct to say that the address for the DSL contract is the Number 2. Independant from that your contact address can of course remain as the Number 4, but for the connection the APL is the deciding factor.
