Dear O2,

few months ago (in September) I have moved to Czech Republic. I have also sent you back the router and Abmeldung confirmation. I realized though, that you still charge me, which I find unfair and against the signed contract. 

I have requested refund of the last payment you have deducted from my card from my bank and I hereby ask you to stop charging me further. I’d also like to hear a confirmation that you will do so.

It is certainly not 'against the signed contract'. Did you send o2 confirmation of your residence abroad? When was that? You are aware that you have to pay 3 months basic charge from the time you left Germany?

As I wrote above, I have left Germany in September (officially from the 1st October). No, I was not aware of an obligation of paying 3 months for a service that I can’t consume, but thanks for the information. I have sent the router and the documents at the beginning of December. What upsets me a little bit is that in “Mein O2” it says, that my contract runs until July 2021.

The information in mein o2 is not binding. Have you received any confirmation from o2 that the contract can be terminated early? If not you should perhaps call customer services to check that they received your documents.

If you want to cancel a DSL contraqct because you are leaving the country, we need some documents for confirmation. This includes the Abmeldebescheinung from your address here in germany and also a proof that you are living in another country like a registration confirmation or something like that. Without this documents the contract can not be canceled to an earlier date.

Please always provide this documents as soon as possible since the 3 months period starts as soon as we recieve all necessary confirmation.

I am moving out of the Germany next month and I would like to have my O2 Telephone contract cancelled..

 

Please let me know the process to terminate the contract
