Dear Team,

I am having the O2 Dsl contract from Nov 2017 till date, Due to some technical issues in apartment i am changing my apartment.

I checked the connectivity of new address where i move, then found that the O2 connectivity is possible but with very less speed up to 50 Mbit / s, where as my current contract offer up to 250 Mbit / s Which itself i felt slow at times for all the users in my family.

Hence i wanted to cancel the contract. Please guide me the procedure for the same

Thanks

Prasath

Hi @Prasath,

welcome to our community. I checked your contract and it still has a period of 8 month left to run. So we can put a note to our system to end this contract by the end of September 2020. On the other hand you can move your contract to your new adress because right now your tariff has maximum speed of 50 Mbit/s. So there is no reason for an early cancellation. If you prefer a high speed contract we might ask our special department if 250 Mbit/s is already available but not marked in our system. Therefore we would send you a PM to get more details. Getting a negative reply due to maximum speed you may cancel the contract earlier but be aware you have to pay the remaining fee of 8 month in one sum.

Please telll us how to proceed.

Greetings

Hi ,

Thank you for replying !

I am ok to take my O2 connection along with me to my new apartment from Feb 01 2020 but in my new apartment there is already existing DSL connection (unity media) available which is used by other flat mates. I am not sure if there is any extra port available or if O2 team can create a new port to adapt my connection.

Can someone from O2 team check if there is any feasibility to adapt new connection in the address ***********.

Please call my mobile number for any clarifications (refer my mobile number in my account)

Please Note:

Yes, Please put to a note or confirmation in your system that i would end up my contract on 09/18/2020.

Expecting your reply / call at the earliest.

Thank you

Hi,

I spoke to O2 official ***** and got confirmed that technical team will check the feasibility of Port connectivity in my new apartment.

If there is a feasibility, O2 will charge the 49.99 Euro for moving the connection. If there is no feasibility to adapt new connection in the apartment, then there is no charge and i can close the connection without any charges as there is no other option available for me - Confirmed by *****.

But i wish to move the connection to new apartment, Hope the tech guy resolves the issue.

Thanks

Hi @Prasath,

I can see that just today it has been confirmed that moving your connection to your new address will take place in February, so it will work after all.

An e-mail has been sent to you to inform you about it as well.

Best regards,
Jan.
