Change from old flex tariff to the new permanent tariff

Hi!

I’d like to change my old “O2 my Home XL Flex (2020)” - 44.99 EUR/month tariff to the new “O2 Home L 300” (34.99 EUR/month) tariff.
I have a list of questions regarding this.

  1. How to do the change?
  2. Is the Anschlusspreis applied to me? If yes, is it discounted to 9,99 EUR as advertised on your website?
  3. Can I upgrade the router at the same time? Now I’m paying 4.99 monthly for the FRITZ!Box 6660, I’d like to have a FRITZ!Box 6670 with wifi 7 and send the old one back to you.

Best regards,

Andrei

Hello @yaav89 ,
welcome to our o2 Community. 😀
We can arrange a tariff change for you here in the Community as part of a contract extension if the desired tariff is available at your address.
Have you already checked under availability of o2
Kind regards,
Solveig

Hi!

Yes, I have checked that it is available for my address. Basically, the speed is the same I have now - the change is in contract type (monthly → 2 year) and a newer tariff.
I’d like to make a change to “O2 Home L 300” (34.99 EUR/month) tariff then.

Best regards, Andrei

Hi Bianca!

Absolutely, my email is up to date.
What are the next steps after I get the email?

Hallo @yaav89

I’ve checked the best current offer for you with the o2 Home L 300 and sent all the details to you by email 📧.
Since you’re already using the Kombi-Vorteil (combination discount) on your mobile tariff, it unfortunately can’t be applied to your landline.

Please take your time to review the offer — it’s valid for 8 days, so you can decide at your convenience whether you’d like to accept it.
If you have any questions or would like to make any changes, I’ll be happy to help anytime. 😊

Best regards,

Senay

Thank you for the clarification!

I have just been charged for the new month based on my current tariff. Will this be taken into account when I switch to a new one? Or I’m just losing the monthly payment this way?

Best regards,
Andrei

Billing for o2 Home tariffs is always retrospective. This means that you have been billed for a past billing period, not a future one. Please always read all pages of the bill to clarify this.

@yaav89 blablup explained it correctly. 😌

The invoice is always generated retrospectively for a specific service period. You can see the service period in the top right corner of the first page of your invoice.

Thank you so much!

Now it’s clear to me! I’ve accepted the offer, despite there’s no financial benefit (but upgrading the router is a nice thing).
Will I receive instructions on sending the old router back once I set up the new one?

Best regards, Andrei

@yaav89,

I’m so glad to hear that you’re happy with the offer and that you’ve accepted it! 🎉

You can conveniently return your old router within 14 days after the switch via our returns portal — it’s completely free of charge.
