Hello

I like to change my 250mb dsl tariff

With contract until 04/2026

I find this speed slow. And like to upgrade to 500mb maybe because I see its same price

I can't do change thru o2 app, not sure how

I look here for offer.

Thanks

Only tariffs with a maximum of 250 Mbit/s are possible via DSL.

For higher data rates, a fibre optic or cable/DOCSIS connection is required. Please check whether such a connection is installed in your apartment. Please note that a fibre optic connection requires a corresponding fibre optic router and a cable/DOCSIS connection requires a corresponding DOCSIS 3.1 compatible router. The o2 Home tariffs do not include a router in the basic price. See price list

@supremedope Please note that o2 cable tariffs only support DS-Lite, meaning no public IPv4. Can bring you problems with VPN, smart home connect etc.

Hello @supremedope

It's not the "same" price. The Home XL cable 500mbits costs 54,99€. The Home L 250mbits 44,99€.

If the speed is not stable, it could be due to the use of WIFI instead of a cable connection. Connect your PC or notebook to your DSL router using an Ethernet LAN cable - the speed should then be stable.

Stability won't change with a faster connection and 250 should be more than enough for a home connection.

Hello @supremedope,

great that blablup, Bollermann, Joe Doe and bs0 could already give you a lot of great answers 🙂

Have you tried to analyse your connection with our Service app? You download the app here.

Otherwise it can be a good try to use an Ethernet LAN cable.

I use it for important devices, that is for home office.

Best Regards,

Gerrit
