Hi,

I would like to upgrade my home dsl tarif to home xl. Can somebody please help me with that?
Since yesterday I go through website and I couldn't find anything also I called costumer service many many times. always go to machine operator and I don’t understand exactly. I tried to give my number 4 times already and none of the times the machine understood my number!!!! My german is bad but not that bad that I cannot pronounce the numbers. And now I am spending more than half and hour just to be able to post this! because it does not let me!!

Welcome. As I don’t know, what number you tried to call I’m guessing.

Do you know the song “A whiter shade of pale” by Procol Harum? So, that’s all you need. Call that number again and always keep on saying “whiter” that at least sounds like „Weiter“ in German. Repeat it over and over and don’t hang up. It may take a little time til you get connected to a hotliner.

Otherwise call the especially for englisch-speaking-customers hotline that is:

do you already have got a “Mein O2” - Account? Then the easiest and quickest way to get through ist to contact the chat:

The advantage of using chat is, that the O2-Staff-members already can see your contractnumber and stuff. So if in fact there is only one link needed this would be - as mentioned - the easiest and quickest way.

I am sorry for the challenges at our hotline.

For DSL we have no possibilities to change the tariff online via Mein o2.

This is only possible for mobile tariffs.

Did you check via our availability check if we can provide the 250 mbit/s for the o2 My Home XL?

Do you need a router for rent or do you arleady have a own router/router for rent, which you want to use?

Or did you got help at our costumer service chat?

Hi I have problem again!

I have the modem router now, however it doesn't work.

I use the online chat they told me to call the hotline. But with the hotline it doesn't understand me when I say my number in German! @o2_Manuela 


Dear @NIWIS ,

as long as the cable connection has not been activated, you can only call up the landing page. You can only surf the net after activation. Therefore, be patient until everything has been activated. What date did they give you for this?
