Cancellation of Internet order before activation

I have recently ordererd internet service to my apartment. But according to o2 they are not sure if fibre infrastructure is available in my area yet, but they gave me a contract with activation date in January 2026.

In went back to the o2 shop in Pasing Arcaden to cancel the order, but i was told I cannot cancel the order even though the contract is not activate yet.

How can I cancel this contract?

Moin,

you can’t cancel a contract made in a shop.

Then I was mislead by the personel at the o2 shop.

He gave me the impression that I can cancel the order since he is not sure of the state of the infrastructure in the area. 

Now I'm will be stuck paying for a service I don't use for two years?

No and yes…

The „problem“ is the activation of January 2026.

You have to wait until January 2026. If O2 is unable to serve FDDI than you can withdraw from the contract.

I’m sorry that you were given misleading information in the shop when you signed the contract. 

schluej has already given you the correct information, thanks for the quick support 🌸  

You can still try to come to an agreement with the shop directly, but we cannot cancel the order as normal.

By the way, you will not have to pay for the connection until it has been activated.
