Settings for IMAP, SMTP, POP3

You can check your e-mails with every mail program available.

Please note that o2 mail is only available with contracts that have been concluded before the 13th December, 2012.

We generally suggest you to use an IMAP-based set-up, since this protocol contains functions that are not available with POP3, e. g. it is possible to move spam mails directly without transferring them to your computer.

The settings vary, depending on your e-mail address:

Email addresses with @o2online.de

If you´re not sure wich settings should be used, you can reveal them via your administration site/control panel.

Therefore go to: https://gomail.o2online.de

Login into "Control Panel"
username (Benutzername) = phonenumber of your contract or a choosen username (some landline contracts)
password = password equal to your mailaccount

then "E-Mail einrichten" and "E-Mail-Verwaltung"

now choose "Einstellungen"

all settings belonging to your e-mail adress will show up

Email addresses @o2online.de

Your mail program has to be compatible with SMTP authentication in order to send e-mails.

Username / Application ID / Account name: your full e-mail address with o2. That may be your mobile phone number together with @o2online.de ( e.g. 01761234567@o2online.de) or another name you chose yourself together with @o2online.de.
