Top-up options for Prepaid

​This article will show you how to easily top up your O₂ prepaid credit in various ways.

Automatic top-up via direct debit (SEPA)

You can activate direct debit in the Mein O₂ app or in the Mein O₂ customer portal (via browser). To do this, log in with your phone number, go to payment settings and enter your IBAN there.

Here's how you can automatically top up your balance via direct debit:

Package fee: If you order a new prepaid package or after the expiry of your booked package, the amount for the new package or for rebooking will be debited from your bank account and credited to your prepaid account if you choose this.

Monthly top-up lets you set a fixed amount in Mein O₂ that will be automatically added to your account on a day of your choice each month.

Automatic top-up when your balance is low: Once your balance reaches a certain amount, it will be automatically topped up via direct debit. You can set both the minimum balance and the top-up amount.

Top-up via text message: In the Mein O₂ customer portal and in the Mein O₂ app, you can set a specific amount. This amount will be added once via direct debit when you send a text message with the keyword aufladen to the free short code 25000 (free of charge, also from abroad at +49 177-2 50 00).

One-Time top-up via voucher 

Vouchers contain a fixed amount of credit and can be purchased in shops, such as many supermarkets, gas stations, etc. They are also available in O₂ shops and from O₂ sales partners. You can top up your prepaid credit using the code on the card.

Top-up with credit code (voucher) in the Mein O₂ app or Mein O₂ customer portal:

• Select Guthaben aufladen in the menu
• Go to Guthabenkarte & Code
• Enter the credit code or top-up number
• Confirm the top-up by clicking the Einlösen button

Top-up via GSM or USSD code:

• Open the keypad of your phone app
• Enter the code: *103*Charging code#
• Confirm with the green call button

Top-up by calling a short code:

• Dial 1155 using the keypad on your mobile device
• Select 1 from the menu
• Enter the top-up card number or voucher code
• Confirm with the # key

Your prepaid card will be topped up immediately.

Top-up via bank transfer or standing order

Please first send a text message from your prepaid phone with the keyword Überweisung (transfer) or Bank to the short code 56656.

The bank details and payment reference will be sent to you immediately via text message.

Transfer the amount to the specified bank account. Please include the payment reference (your phone number and a four-digit PIN).

The amount will then be credited to your prepaid card, and you will receive a text message confirming the successful credit transfer.

Top-up at ATMs or terminals

You can also top up your prepaid card at top-up terminals or ATMs.

Please follow the instructions on the machine's screen.

The maximum daily top-up amount is 60€.

Express top-up

Express top-up is a service provided by our external partner, Alphacomm.

Log in to the Mein O₂ app or the Mein O₂ customer portal, go to Guthaben aufladen and then to Weitere Auflademöglichkeiten and select Express-Aufladung. You will then be redirected to the website of Alphacomm.

Enter the top-up amount there and select your preferred payment method, such as PayPal or credit card.

After successful payment, you will receive confirmation that the top-up was successful.

Express top-Up without Login

You can use our Express top-up service for other payment options such as instant bank transfer, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and more.
