Ob dieses Providergerät dann vollumfänglich mit Anschlüsse anderer Internetanbieter kompatibel ist, musst du selbst testen, hierzu kannst du auch die Schnittstellenbeschreibung ansehen.

Es wäre sicherlich einfacher, ein Router zu verwenden, der auf jeden Fall mit o2 Anschlüsse komptatibel ist.

Naja, man liest öfters von Problemen im Zusammenhang IPv6/DNS/VoIP.

Aber du scheinst es ja besser zu wissen. Es bleibt aber, egal wie, ein Providergerät, der für die Anschlüsse dieses Providers entworfen und entwickelt wurde.

these were my steps:

1. Reset the Router (if previously used)

• Hold the reset button (usually at the back) for about 10 seconds until the router restarts.
• Wait until the router finishes booting up.

2. Connect to the Router

• Connect your PC or phone to the router via LAN or Wi-Fi.
• Open a browser and go to: http://speedport.ip (or try 192.168.2.1)

3. Login to the Web Interface

• Default password is printed on the router label (usually on the underside).
• Enter it to log in.

5. Enter O2 DSL Settings Manually

Use these DSL credentials (typical for O2):

• Benutzername (Username):
• Passwort (Password): 

Other settings:

• VLAN ID: Leave blank or 7 if asked (O2 sometimes uses VLAN 7)

6. Save and RebooT

• Click “Speichern” or “Apply”
• The router should now attempt to connect.

7. Wait for Sync

• Wait a few minutes to let it sync. DSL LED or status should turn green/connected.
