Hello,

When I signed up for my DSL contract, it was mandatory to tick the box shown in the photo.

I'd now like to revoke this consent.

Please confirm when you are no longer storing and using information about the device I use.

Hello @Dionisius,

at what time and date and at what step of you order did you recieve this notice? Did you order via mobile internet on the phone or via your computer?

You should be able to revoke this confirmation by pressing the "revoke" link.

Regards,

Lars

Hi Lars.

I received this notice on Saturday 17 November 2018 at approximately 16:30 Central European Time. If I recall correctly, the weather was cloudy but not too cold.

I ordered on my computer, through your website.

I just went through the order process again, without completing the order, to check the step where this message appeared. You can try this too!

The screen shot showing the step and the message is below.

Here are the relevant hyperlinks shown in the picture:

Weitere Informationen.

widerrufen.

You can see that neither of these links are very useful. I don't understand how pressing the "widerrufen" link during the order process helps, especially since the order cannot be completed without agreeing to the data collection - as you can see from the screen shot in my original message.

So ... I would now like to revoke this consent. Please confirm when this is done.

Hello @Dionisius,

well, yes, November was not as cold as it could have been, there were some regions were even some trees had still some green(ish) leaves on them.

But back to topic. I had a look into this. Information regarding the used device are stored and automatically erased after a six-month period (to find out more regarding saved data have a look into our Datenschutz section (german)).

The links that you find under "widerrufen" indeed do not work if you copy them or try to open them in a separate tab in your Browser, they just open a pop-up with the information.

To revoke this consent, please write this to the following address:

Telefonica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG

Auskunftstelle

90345 Nürnberg

Regards,

Lars

Thank you Lars, you are a good sport and I appreciate the help.

Martin.
You are welcome 🙂
