Hi guys,

I am a student, studying in Germany. I have a question to ask, this is really frustrating.

On August 30th 2017, I bought Samsung galaxy s8 from an offline shop close to my place. Online price of s8 at that time was €1 for the first month and  €27,50 per month for 2 years contract without tarif. I only had to get the phone because I already had a contract with O2 but my phone got stolen.

So I went to the shop, asked them to make the deal. The guy said "You pay €1 for the first month, then €90 for the next month. After that you pay €27.50 for the rest of your contract." I asked him why I have to pay €90, and he said it was because of the offline "direct" service they offer. I got the phone right at that moment, because I was desperate for a phone. The problem starts from here.

On the first month, I paied €1 as the guy said. Then on the second month, I got two emails with two different numbers under my name, saying that my contract will be terminated. I did not own any of these numbers, which were in the email. So I used online chat to check what is going on. It turned out that this guy from offline shop made 2 contract so that I could pay that extra €90. My first question is that is this even allowed to do in offline shops?!

So I went to the shop and talked to the guy. He said because they cannot sell "only" the device, he had to make those numbers. And he told me not to worry because this is one time thing and I won't have to pay for the next month. This month, I paid €104.62.

The next month, I got the bill and it said €82.61. So I went to the shop again and asked them why I got another bill. The guy said "It's because the bill was splited. from 1st to 15th, you paid last month, and from 16th to 30th you pay it this month." I did not understand what was going on at all. First, he said I pay €90 for only one month but later he says the bill is splited. Then he showed me some calculation why this is beneficial to me. he said "You had this numbers to pay the extra money. Originally you can't buy only the phone. But I make a deal for you because you are a student. You also get €10 discount every month until your contract is over." So I asked him several times to make sure "I will get €10 discount for 1 more year even though I don't have these numbers(made up numbers from the guy in the shop)? I will get the discount for 1 more year?" He said yes. He confidently said yes everytime I asked him. So I thought this problem is now solved becasue I pay extra at the beginning and get discount every month. It evens out.

This month, I did not get any discount. It was the same amount I usually pay.

What should I do in this case? Can I file a report to the main office of O2? Is there any way that I can talk about offline shop to O2 service center?

I have spent so much of my energy on this problem and do not want to deal with that guy again. It seems to me that he makes up stories everytime I go there.

Any kind of advice will be appreciated. This is really frustrating and I don't want to pay any extra money for this.
