What a dumbass I am for buying o2 prepaid stick. Currently am in transit period between 2 ISPs. Scouted around, saw the o2 pricing so I thought ok go for it. Everything was perfect till like last 3 days. Suddenly, despite HSPA that was shown on o2surfstick website, all I could get was speed of 30kb/s. Everything started to give me "timeout errors".. So, I checked status with my pack, out of 35eur pack, I still had available data volume. Called in next day, it was said they will pass it to technicians. Then yesterday came an sms to my stick, saying i am on slowdown as they working on mobile cells the same classic ""§$%&", sorry have patience and that was it. So, today I tried to reach customer services since it wasnt gods will but directly caused issue by o2 and wanted least compensation of a time or data volume for time beeing as none said till when its gonna be on.. tried it in bad german that i can but i think that person understood what i wanted to say.

Edin Huric: dass sie mich einfach ausgekippt haben

N.Bxxxx: Sie können gern den Chatverlauf kopieren Herr Huric

All in all, throwing money out of window or gambling with o2 IS actually same. Personally I think THIS IS A FRAUD but I couldnt find AGB where they also quote their work on improvement of any kind gives them right to bend over a user.. would love to see if some from o2 will comment this and explain but i doubt it..

anyway,

learned my lesson. i wanted to sign dsl with o2 but after this, so freaking glad i didnt. this will be probably my last journey with o2 ever ever ever again..

as for me, i decided, pay more to rival companies but least get treated like a customer and dont get dropped out.

p.s. above is a copy of our chat log that that person suggested i can make if i want proof that i talked to them.. in there one can see, when o2 mess things up for users, it is still gods will ☺️ so think twice before you buy ☺️

otherwise you might see my point in 14,4mbps->>> 30kbps.. once again even gprs has double that speed ☺️

That is not what i was implying, no. Of course there are ISPs that guarantee xx% availability at xx Speed but I'd be surprised if you could show me a mobile contract anywhere that guarantees such mobile internet availability at every location. Some areas don't even have base stations that can provide 14,4mbps.

Don't get me wrong, I fully understand your position and your dissatisfaction, and I would be annoyed too. 30kbps is not normal and suggests that there is a problem with the base station you are connecting to. Why this isn't showing in the Livecheck is a mystery to me. Nevertheless you are not being actively "gedrosselt" as you maintain - the problems (whatever they are) are leading to you being unable to connect at this speed at this time.

I am glad you have never had such problems with Vodafone. I could show you several VF customers who can tell you otherwise 😉

Basically you are accusing them of fraud (incidentally a very dangerous word to use in a public forum) because network problems where you are currently staying mean that highspeed is not available at the moment? You do realise as well that this is likely to be a temporary issue and that no provider can guarantee you highspeed 24/7 in every location in the country? Sorry, but I find it difficult to understand what exactly your problem is here.

1. Why is AGB hidden about the tariff? I couldnt find anything about it.

2. Why they place THEIR UPGRADES UNDER GODS WILL category when they actually contoll it?

3. Storungcheck STILL shows as if everything works in perfect order.

4. I payed for "bis 14,4mbit/s" and best I get is "30kb/s"..

5. Their work, hence caused directly by them and not gods will, is causing me slow internet and for which they dont intend to issue days or data volume as apology since they received my money in advance.

6. Its been for days now and when I asked any ETA answer was god knows.

So, maybe I am dumb but please enlighten me,

How does this fall in perfectly fine and legal behaviour from their side?

I could understand if little green ones (aliens) landed on the base station that is somewhere like 100m away from me and they interfere with coverage. But they didnt.

Also chat agent suggested I should move out from where I live now to another place to have that working internet ☺️ Kinda ironic ☺️

P.S. Try to use anything on the internet on the notebook on the 30kb/s speed ☺️ You will see what I mean ☺️ Even outlook mail will give you "error timeout"

I certainly don't think you are dumb, but maybe you haven't quite understood a few things correctly:

1. The AGB that applies is that for prepaid services. It can be found here here and actually you should have been given a copy with your contract: http://www.o2online.de/meta/agb-und-infos/agb-zum-download/

What is it you are looking for in the AGB?

2. By God's will you mean that these are classed as Höhere Gewalt / Acts of God in the contract? I doubt that very much. Your contract simply does not guarantee you highspeed all the time everywhere and allows for interruptions due to necessary work on the infrastructure or because of problems. This is the same with every provider and is logical.

3. That's annoying I have to admit. Maybe it's not actually a Störung but improvement work that has not been recorded as a Störung. What PLZ are you referring to?

4. You can get this speed but not everywhere and all the time.

5. Are you honestly saying that they should not be allowed to carry out work to improve the infrastructure if it temporarily affects your surfing speed?

6. Again, this is not good and I hope a moderator will take a look for you here.

All in all I still see nothing illegal here and I assume the chat agent really did mean what he said ironically.

Dude, I DONT EXPECT full speed but holding me for dumb when I say that I AM reduced and they keep saying am not?

Also, that is placed under gods will since no compensation goes out for impacted users.

Also I payed for high speed and i get 1/2 of gprs speed so please dont tell me that §$%& is perfectly normal.

Also its been for days now. not 1 not 2 but this is like 3rd day.. what, they tear it down like lego and then put back together? or they put it together on saturn and then land it down to earth????

meh, as for agb i wont be dloading any.. gonna drop this stick to my wife if she wants to use it as i am going to vodafone.

Shame you don't seem to want to understand that "Ich bin gedrosselt" and "es gibt Netwerkeinschränkungen" are not the same thing. Your speed is not reduced (= gedrosselt), there just isn't the capacity where you are at the moment (for whatever reason).

Also, you did not pay for highspeed everywhere, you paid for up to a certain maximum speed where it is available. You don't have a contract that guarantees you a certain speed in a certain location. If you did then of course your complaints in this respect would be justified.

Anyway, hope you have better luck with Vodafone and that your wife will be able to use the Sufstick with a higher speed again soon.

end result is my internet is from 14,4mbps down to 30kbps.. so, umm, that IS dropping down in my vocabulary. they have no idea when it will be done and considering the ignorance i received only god knows when they gonna fix the §$%& as they cant even update the site so it is known limitation but instead show like everything is tip top which also falls under missleading information..

like i said in my OP, glad i didnt sign dsl contract with them but instead choosed another ISP. For what it matters, mods can lock or delete this post as i dont intend to WASTE my nervs with 30kbps to reply to this.

p.s. in case you havent see it out in market, there are ISPs that say "we guarantee xx% to deliver from the xx speed".. in o2 case user is lucky if 1% is delievered ☺️ least that is what you are implying.

good luck with future o2 endeavour. as for vodafone, i dont need luck as i didnt have experience like this with them..
