Contract Cancellation & Switching Contracts

Hello o2 Community,
I'm an existing o2 customer with a o2-free M contract. I checked on the o2online website and it says there that the 2-year period on this contract is due to expire on the 5th of May 2019. I wanted to cancel it when my obligation ends and purchase another contract from o2, and here's where I've made an error.
I've ordered a new 2-year contract from o2-online, mistakenly thinking that my 2-year obligation on the old contract was going to expire on the 5th of March, instead of May. So now, I still have my old contract active and running for at least two more months, as well as a new contract due to start this month. What are my options in order to fix this? Can o2 opt me out my old contract a couple months early? Or do I have to cancel my new contract within the 14-day period, then opt to not renew the old one, and finally buy another plan in May?

Contracts don't just expire. If you haven't terminated your existing contract already then it will already have been extended for a further 12 months (the period of notice required for cancellation is three months, so you would have to have given notice by 5th February at the latest). When did you order the new tarif? Luckily for you, as you concluded the new contract online you have a two-week right of revocation and can cancel the new contract. If you don't do this you will be paying for two contracts for at least another year.
