stop DSL in old apartment before it is activated in the new apartment

Hello,

 

I move to a new apartment on 15th of December. However, I have received an email from O2 where they explain that the transfer of the DSL connection from the old apartment to the new one, will be made the 23th of December (1 week after I move).

 

So, I don't mind waiting until the 23th of December to have Internet in my new apartment, but is it not possible to cancel the connection from the old apartment before the 15th of December?

      Why do you want to do that? If you are worried about people using your connection they can't if they don't have your username and password.

        What about the landline telephone? Does it only work if the router is connected to Internet (VoIP)? Or could someone plug a landline telephone and make calls that I would have to pay?

         

        Also, the default password for the Internet connection is not very secure... is it possible to change it?

        please call the hotline at the day of your moving, our colleagues can block your landline.
