Order new DSL Connection but not available till 12/05/2014

First of all sorry for posting in English, but my knowledge of German is unfortunately limited.

 

I order a new DSL M last week and during the weekend I received a mail that my connection cannot be setup until 12/05/2014 due to a telephone only contract with Deutsch Telecom.

 

I do not have a Deutsch Telecom line installed at my current flat and I confirmed with my landlord that no line is installed. The previous owners did not use a telephone line or have internet and contacting Telecom, they confirmed that there is no contract, or line at my flat. I am not paying for anything either.

 

Can this be kindly checked into as I would like to get internet as quickly as possible so that I can contact my wife and family back at home. I have not included any personal details here for obvious reasons and I do not have access to a telephone line and my work colleagues do the general talking for me.
