O2 HomeBox 6441 ohne CD / without CD??, and technician coming in 3 days

Dear all,

I just picked up in a DHL Filiale my O2 HomeBox 6441. Inside the box there was the Kurzanleitung, the o2 HomeBox 6441, the yellow LAN-Kabel, the grey DSL-Verbindungksabel and the Steckernetzteil but there was no CD!
In the short introduction portfolio it states it must be a CD inside the box but there is none! What can I do? Will you send one to me?

The technician is coming to my place this Tuesday from 8 to 12, does he need to have the CD? I understand that the only thing he needs to do is to connect everything (thus access to electricity and to the place where to put the internet cable), but he does not need anything else... and once he leaves I need to connect myself to the Internet.

By the way all my computers and mobiles are from Apple... Is there any problem with that?
I hope to hear back from you soon!

Thank you a lot in advance!

Best

Anna

I have another question. Although in my O2 contract it includes connection to Internet and to phone, is it me who needs to get a DECT-Telefone or an Analog Telefon? Or do they provide me with one?

Hi,

you don´t need any CD, here you can find the short instruction in english https://static2.o9.de/blob/13175994/v=3/Binary/kurzanleitung-o2-homebox-6641-englisch-download.pdf

or at the manual unfortunately only in german https://static2.o9.de/blob/12926458/v=4/Binary/handbuch-o2-homebox-6641-download.pdf

It could come with Apple and the HomeBox to problems with certain WLAN channels ( > Ch 11). This can be avoided by switching off the automatic and setting a fixed WLAN channel ( < 11 )

I would recommend a DECT phone only with charging cradle. The HomeBox 6441 has its own DECT base station, where you can register the cordless phone. The Dect-fon should be CAT-iq 2.0 compliant.
