Hello,

I need some help please!

My WLAN has repeatedly dropped it's connection to all my Windows 10 devices while Android and Chrome devices are fully connected through the Wi-fi confirming that the router is connected to the internet. This issue happens daily and sometimes more than once a day. Many of the basic troubleshooting has already been tried, including all the options on the the O2 suite software and windows basic network troubleshooting. The only fix besides restarting the router is to change the radio channel for the wi-fi. The problem also occurs if the auto is selected for the channel. Also, the drivers for the wireless card have been both rolled back and updated with no apparent effect.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Moin Moin,

you could try to disable DHCP (Obtain an ip address automatically) and change it to (Use the following IP address).

If you run the Home Box in default you  could use 250-254 for your PC.

e.g.

IP adress: 192.168.1.251

Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Default gateway: 192.168.1.1

as DNS Server you cold use:

62.109.121.2 and  62.109.121.1

If you do an disconnect and than an (re)connect are you than able to get access to the internet?

If you get the message could you connect to the o2.box ?

And at last is ist just a message or is it not possibel to get access to the internet?

Thanks for the tip! So far setting the fixed IP address has worked for my PC. I haven't tried on my roommate's device yet.

As for the other questions, disconnect and reconnecting does not fix the issue, the same message appears. I cannot access the o2 box either. I have been using an Ethernet cable or my android phone to access the box when this issue occurs. There is definitely no connection to the internet, it is not just a message.

I'll post again once I can apply this fix to my roommate's PC as well.  Thanks again!

Nice!

Don't forget the IP Address is unique for each device.

IP adress: 192.168.1.251 should be 192.168.1.252 for the 2nd device!

Nice weekend.
