internet and telephone off

Hi,

I write in english because my Deutsch is not good enough to explain the problem.

It's been already 5 weeks that my internet and telephone connection went down for the first time. Currrntly it happens every 8 days or so, around 17:00 - 18:00 Hrs. and it doesn't work until the next day. Finnaly today i decided to contact O2 for support because my connection is down since thursday 07.10.2014. Even right now it's off and i'm doing this using my mobile.

I have checked my router with the application trying to solve the problem with no luck.

If anyone can help or assist me in English i'd appreciate that.

you should document type of router (brand and number) and the technical data of your DSL-connection.  Maybe a router problem or bad data of your DSL connection.

Hi bawerade,

 

as said in your other thread, please reset the router to factory setting by pressing the reset button on the back of your device for about 30 seconds, then go through the settings again, reconfigure it by entering the login data etc. and tell us if it works then.

So, I tried to reset the modem yesterday, and it didn't work at that time. The DSL light was blinking like testing, and for shorts periods of time (30 - 50 sec) it remained on. Then i tried to configure the router clearly with no luck because of the unstable connection. The router also restart randomly a couple of times, the power led went red, and the others leds off. I tried this morning once again because the DSL led seemed more stable and it worked, so i was able to configure once again the router. Right now, internet is working properly but the telephone is not. The led light is green and on, but the phone's speaker gives me a beep every 2 - 3 seconds like if it is occupied.

 

My main concern is what if it'll happen again in the next few days...

This should be a problem in the power supply. Is the box conected at a seperate power socket?

Hi again,

I'm pretty sure That's not the problem, the router have it's own socket, and also when the router restarted didn't went out completely, just dsl and wlan led were off but power remained on, red but on.

The issue here is that my internet and telephone is down again. From last wednesday 16.07.2014 until yesterday 19.07.2014 afternoon worked fine, after that it stopped working properly, the internet and telephone led turned off and the dsl led is blinking like testing, then it go full green for 30 seconds or so, and once again off and testing. I already reset the router, change the socket just in case, let the router off yesterday all night but still it doesn't work.

Right now i'm clueless of what is the issue, any help will be very much appreciate.
