Ich möchte meinen eigenen Router benutzen.

I am a new user. My account just activated yesterday. I have bought TP-LINK Archer C50 V3.0 AC1200 to use as a router. Is it compatible? So the cable between the wall and my router: What is the perfect cable type? Is it TAE to 8p2c? I am confused on the bit. Please guide me here.

Your TP-LINK has no modem integrated. It would have a modem still be switched before. Besides, it has no telephony function.
My tip ... give the TP link back and buy a FritzBox 7430, 7490, 7560, 7580 or 7590 .
