Hello All,

I want to cancel my O2 contract as my Apartment provider "Studentenwerk Berlin" has started its own Wifi starting August 2018. My rent has automatically increased and I cannot cancel this due to the mandatory terms. Can anyone help me in cancelling my O2 connection? I have been with O2 for more than 1 yr.

Thanks,

Aakash Yadav

Hello NewNickDE,

it is very unlikely that an early cancellation will be approved in this case. You have contracted for two years, the only possible reason for an immedeate cancellation would be if you move to an adress that does not offer any DSL.

I am sorry, but fair and square, there is no way to get out of the contract.

Kind regards,

Giulia

Hello NewNickDE,

because of data privacy reasons we had to change your nickname. Yours was the account number/ customer number. Please make sure that your private data is kept safe. You're in a public space here, where everyone can see the things that you're writing here.

I have named you now "NewNickDE". If you want to have another nickname please tell us and we'll change it again. ☺️

I'm just working on mobile concerns, not with DSL concerns. So please wait until DSL colleagues writes you, or contact the hotline.

Kind regards,

Jessica

There ist no legal reason for immediate end of your contract. You must fulfill your contract with o2 and you may cancel it for the end of the current period (24 month?).

Thanks for your comment.

Yes, I have a 2-year contract and will terminate only by May-2019. Isn't there any way to cancel the contract? as I will be paying double for the same internet.

from legal aspect - no. You have to fulfill the contract.

You may ask by letter for in german "Kulanz"
