Hallo,

I have a DSL contract that I had taken from an O2 shop in Jena, Thüringia on 01.12.2017 and it is valid till 27.09.2019. I was told from the shop that when I move out, I can transfer the contract to the new tenant. Now I have moved to Karlsruhe and I have an internet connection in my building, therefore I don't need the DSL connection anymore. I wanted to transfer it to the new tenant of my old apartment in Jena..but I was told that it is not possible to. In that case I would like to terminate the contract now. But since I am not leaving Germany anytime soon so I can not show a deregistration certificate. Please let me know what is the option now. I took the contract only because I knew that I could transfer it when I leave. And now I can not pay for an internet that I don't use. Please tell me how to either transfer or terminate my contract.

Regards,

Jayeeta

Hello @joyeeta.amboli2011,

please note that if you want to cancel a contract it is necessary to write this to our customer service in Nuremburg since we can not process cancelation here in this forum.

I suggest to explain all the details in the letter, the corresponding department then will have a look into this and you will recieve an answer from them.

The transfer of a contract to a new customer is not something that is part of the contract, it is a voluntary service. If for whatever reason we can not provide this, you have the possibility to move your DSL connection with you to the new adress.

Regards,

Lars
