Do I must need a technician to setup internet first time?

I ordered for DSL connection now my appointment for technician is on 21 Nov but I have all the knowledge to setup the router and internet settings. Or does the technician has to do all the wirings? I would also like to ask how is the connection coming to my room? There are 3 phone outlets in my room and its written telekom over it. If the technician is only for router setup I dont need it.

My order is still not processed I was registering 2 days ago... I would like to have internet ass soon as possible..
