Contract Termination

Hello,

I want to terminate my DSL contract because I am leaving Germany.

I have below Questions to ask.

1.) What is the procedure to cancel my contract. As i have heard that i need to send following things to o2

     1.1 A letter to O2, reason for contract termination.

     1.2 My Router/Modem because it is on rent.

     1.3 De-registration forum from Rathaus

     1.4 Letter from my new employer (where i will be joining in Future)

      Is this information correct Or Do i Need to send /do anything else as well.

2.) After I send above all things, in how much time will i get the contract termination confirmation mail?

Hi,

1) This is right, o2 need point 1.1 to 1.3, 1.4 is necceserry if you got no de-registration, o2 only must know by a officel letter  that you leaving germany. 

2) You´ve normaly get a confirmation letter by Post, if you leave germany in  a few time you can write this down in the confirmation letter and offer a mail adress wich o2 can use for sending a confirmation mail.

This procedere needs some time because eache termination before ending will be checked seperatly by o2.

        Hi,

        you can write this on a simple letter, there is no form necessary.

          Can I transfer the contract to some other person leaving in my apartment.?

          If yes, please tell the procedure.

          Hi,

          yes, it is possible.

          For this you can call the hotline, use the livechat, depending on wich contract do you have you can do this online at mein o2.

          Another way ist to fill and sent this https://static2.o9.de/blob/12950222/v=3/Binary/dsl-inhaberwechsel-pdf-download.pdf  to o2, but remember that the adress and fax number maybe is not up to date because some contracts are manged in Hamburg, some contracts managed in Nürnberg.

          So it is necessary to know the name of your contract for the right adress and fax number.

            Hello,

            I am trying to transfer the contract to some other person but I am unable to do that.

            When i am trying to change the personal details it is redirecting me to my o2 home page.

            No option is displayed to change the owner.

            Hi,

            oh, that was misleading. You must print out the form and sent it by post or fax to o2 so at once you can fill the form by pencel or at second you can download the form on your pc an fill it. There is no way to fill and sent it online.
