Contract cancelation

You can cancel you contract online, but after that you have to call the hotline, and i assume that would really expensive for your, or it is free for you to call fixline numbers in foreign countries?

Hi,

It's me again... I have canceled contract online and have called the hotline number I was given by the cancelation form. The lady said it's the wrong number and I should call some other number that she gave me but they don't speak english over there.
Or I could just send a letter.
So, my question is what do I have to write in this letter and what information must it contain.
This would be easier for me then doing it over the phone since I don't speak german very well.
