Activate internet connection

On Friday morning (26.10) one of your technician came to my apartment to activate my DSL connection. My friend, with whom I live together, was there and she let him in. After checking the phone line at the flat, he said that everything was fine and the internet will have been activated around 17:00 -18:00. Instead, a few minutes after he left the apartment, I received an e-mail saying that our appointment was not accomplished, since your technician did not find us in the apartment.

Why did your technician lie?

Finally, I would like to highlight that the next appointment that I managed to make, will be 10 days after the initial one. During that period of time, my friend and flatmate, who is working remotely from home, will not be able to work and thus she will lose money.

Therefore, I want to be sure at least, that the next technician will activate the internet connection and not experience the same situation.
