Problem with 3G on Samsung Galaxy S i9000

HI there!

 

I have problem with using 3G on Samsung Galaxy S. I am using simcard O2, but i am unable to use 3G. Although I unchecked option "Use only 2G networks", means my phone now is using both 3G and 2G, but still there is no 3G symbol next to signal symbol. I don't know how to fix this problem. Do I need to activate or configure or setup something on my phone to use 3G? Can anyone give me solutions?

 

Someone told me that I need to setup APN on my phone. But, in order to do that, I need some information about APN of O2. Can someone guide me to do this or how to use 3G on Samsung Galaxy S.

theres no need to configure the APN settings.

 

It may depends on your booked services or UMTS ist not acitivated.

 

We need to check your contract details to solve your problem.

I do have the same problem and called up the customer care. They told me they did automatic setting on my phone and asked me to switch off and switch but still I dont get 3g on my Galaxy S i9000
