Hello,

It looks like the base station near me has not the best days. It seems like it is on the yellow mode (“berschränkungen”) for quite a long time. Are there any plans to fix it so we’d see the decent internet connection speed.

Here is the information from the O2 Homespot

This is what I see on the report Störung page:

All the times, I open the page it shows me exactly the same yellow-ish warning. All the times.

Hello @jonnyzzz ,

the surrounding stations are indeed a bit limited in terms of service and performance.

Out technical department is already on it, but they couldn´t provide further details, I´m afraid.

Have you tried setting the network mode to UMTS?

That is certainly not the ideal workaround, nevertheless: it could produce much better performance for the time being.

Viele Grüße,
Kurt

Thanks, @o2_Kurt !

I do use “LTE/4G only” mode on the O2 Homespot and Huawei routers. Before that, I’ve noticed O2 Homespot router was jumping between 3G and 4G modes. I’ve made an experiment running in 3G mode on the Homespot router - it works slower, around 5Mbit/s. I’ll use it as a backup plan just in case.

Hi @jonnyzzz ,

That would be great, if it indeed hekps out a bit.

If you have further questions regarding the cells (say, if it takes to long without any noticeable update) let us know here.

Sorry for the inconveniences!

Viele Grüße,

Kurt

Thanks a lot, @o2_Kurt

I’ve checked once again, the base station near me is still yellow. It looks like it is yellow all the time I check for its status. I’ll re-check in one week or so and let you know. It is sad, I cannot use another base station from my location.

Hi @jonnyzzz

Loving greetings,
