I am not sure if we are writing about the same thing. 
As Sächsin wrote, the SIM card (hardware) is not transferable to other networks. 
If you want to change the network/provider, you will receive a new SIM card from your new provider.

If you want to take your current number with you to a new provider, you are of course free to change. 
In the FAQ I linked you will find an article on how to take your number with you to another provider.

Sorry yes you are right i want to keep my old number with the new provider.i think i didnt clearly explained. Can you tell me how to do that please?

you have to start this with your new provider, they are responsible for porting the number over to them. If this is supposed to happen as soon as possible while the contract with us is still running than please notify us here so that we can prepare the number to be ported over, if you want to have this change happen at the end of the contract nothing further is needed.

I am a prepaid user of O2.I bought a new sim from another provder.They gave me a document to sign and sen my old prepaid provider to free my number so that i can port it to new provider.

Kindly tell me if you can release my number or i need to send something to you.Because i need this same o2 number on my new provider.

What should i do.?

your number is free to be ported, everything else you’ll have to initiate through your new provider.
