Greetings,

One of my friend is using Prepaid S and she always tops-up before automatic extending time (following text message notification by o2) so that she always makes sure that her Prepaid S is successfully extended for one more month (just like myself)

However, for some time, she had to leave Germany and left the balance with 0 amount and naturally Prepaid S was not extended that time. Two days ago she came back to Germany and we topped up enough money/credit for one month extension for pre-paid S tariff. However nothing has happened yet.

In o2 website, it tells us to dial numbers *107# and pick up our tariff however when we dial the number, it only shows our current basic tariff (o2 Loop) and we don’t have any oher choice other than close the window with a “Close” button.

We have enough credit in our balance. How can we continue with pre-paid S tariff just like that we used to do? What are we supposed to do?

Best Regards,

Hakan

Hi Hakan!

o2 Loop is your basic tariff. With it you can make calls or send text messages for 9 cents/minute and surf the Internet with 30 MB for 0.99 euros. You can change the o2 Loop basic tariff later - should there be a new, different basic tariff - by dialing *107#. The o2 Loop basic tariff is up-to-date and therefore no other tariff will be offered to you.

You can expand this basic tariff with the o2 my Prepaid S/M or L, for example. These packages are automatically renewed after the term of 28 days if the credit is sufficient. If the credit is insufficient, the package will pause for a certain time (you will receive an SMS).
You can see the status of a booked package in Mein o2, for example: https://www.o2online.de/ecare-prepaid/tarifdetails

If a package isn't booked, it says "inactive" (Inaktiv), if it's booked and active, it says "active" (Aktiv), if you book it but don't have enough credit, then it says "Ordered, waiting to be charged" (Bestellt, wartet auf Aufladung) if If you don't have enough credit for auto-renewal, it says "Renewal, waiting for top-up" (Verlängerung, wartet auf Aufladung)

If it says "inactive", then the package can be ordered.

By the way: You can also cancel packages with o2 prepaid. If you don't want to use a package for a while, you can unsubscribe. Then you pay the prices for the basic tariff. If you don't use the card, there are no costs. When unsubscribing, you can choose between "immediately" and "at the end of the term". Later you can book (an)other package again.

Briefly summarized:: You can check the status of a package in Mein o2 (My o2 App, via the o2 Packmanager *104# or via the o2 Loop account manager 5667) and order or end it.

Dear @Hakan Koese ,

welcome back in our community. 🦋

Did the information by @tearsbeforecrying helped you?

By the way, how long was your friend out of Germany? Is ist possible, that it was deactivated?

Kind regards,

Andrea

Greetings @o2_Andrea ,

We checked out my friend’s mein 02 app. And we saw nothing except o2 Loop. It was very likely that it was deactivated. We went to “Bookable Options” and booked prepaid L tariff.

And then we realized a funny detail. We paid 9,99 € for “o2 Prepaid L” for my friend. I myself have “o2 Prepaid S” for 9,99 € (the same price) and I pay 9,99 € every moth to extend it. They cost exactly the same, but of course Prepaid L package is far superior when it comes to internet data. And besides that, I don’t see any any other difference between “o2 prepaid S” and “o2 prepaid L”. How come is that?

Best Regards,

Hakan Köse

There is currently a campaign where the o2 my Prepaid S/M and L packs receive a one-time discount of 50%. After the 28 days have expired, your friend will have to pay the normal price for the pack again in the event of an automatic renewal.

Dear @Hakan Koese ,

unfortunately i can't look into your friend's dataset to see exactly. He/she would have to report here himself/herself.
But if you could book something in the meantime and it works, that's great.
Possibly @tearsbeforecrying is right and you have been offered different prices by the action.

Kind regards,

Andrea

- I am an existing o2 prepaid customer. I am using o2 services for quite sometime. For past few months I am really facing difficulty in activating the o2 Prepaid S pack. I am adding sufficient credit even though the pack is not getting activated automatically. This is causing me real inconvenience and I am really not happy with o2 services. Due to which I am forced to pay additional amount to activate the pack which is really bad. When I login with my o2 credentials o2 Prepaid S with 8 GB or 16 GB data for 28 days never gets displayed. Moreover, I want to understand why o2 sets a default credit amount (10,15 ,20 Euros) to do the top-up. For example if a customer has 8 Euros balance in his account why can’t she or he add 2 Euros and activate the 9.99 Euros pack for 28 days. Minimum amount of top-up is 10 euros.

Is there a way to solve my problem. I have even tried SMS option 5667 or *104# to activate the pack. This doesn’t work at all. Hope you will check this on priority and provide me a resolution. Make the recharging option user friendly for customers instead of having a complex steps.
