Extension of DSL-contract


Hi, 

 

My current O2 dsl contract is expiring in April.

 

I have 2 questions.

 

  1. I would like to extend the contract. I am not sure how to do this. I see that if I don’t send a cancellation, they will extend it by 1 year automatically. But I don’t see what will be the new price after extension. 

 

  1. If I choose a new O2 plan for myself, will this automatically cancel my current contract or will it create a new contract ?

Hi, 

 

My O2 dsl L contract terminates in April. How do I extend it without it being auto extended for a higher price? 

 

If I want to upgrade to the XL contract, how do I do this? 

 

I can see offers for me from O2, if I select an tariff that suits me, does it automatically replace my current contract? Do I need to do anything else? 


Kindly assist as the customer helpline is in German and not useful.

  1. The price will be the one in your existing contract but without any discounts.
  2. If you extend the existing contract for 2 years you can choose a new tarif and the new term will commence immediately. If you enter into a new contract altogether then you would have two contracts.

How do I extend the contract? I don’t see the option on my O2. Kindly assist.

Unfortunately it is not possible to extend your DSL contract online. Every offer is a new contract and does not replace your existing one. So if you are still in need of a personal offer just let us know.

Unfortunately, some of our DSL-customers are not able to extend their contract online. But of course, we are happy to help you and to send you a nice offer by e-mail. 

 

In order to look for a good offer, please let me know the following details: 

 

  • How much bandwidth do you need? Please have a look what is possible at your address: DSL-check
  • Do you like to have also a new router? We offer the Fritzbox 7590 for 5,99 € rent per month. If you like, I can include the router in your offer. 
  • How many telephone-numbers do you need? The ISDN-option is available for 2,99 € per month. 
  • Please check also your e-mail-address at “Mein o2”.

Hi Tobias, 

Thank you for the reply. I had called the customer hotline and managed to extend my current contract by 1 year. 

I hope the next extension is possible through the website itself since the link was there but nothing worked if I wanted to extend the contract.
