No, you are paying for up to 50 MBPS. It is possible that 14 is the maximal available on your line. Did you test using WiFi or LAN? You must test using LAN for accurate results and you should also check the connection speed of your router.
Hi,

that´s maybe easy - for connecting with 50 Mbit you need VDSL. Now in my opinion you connectet with ADSL and this only can offer max speed 16 Mbit.

You pay for a connection with minimum 6 Mbit (take a look at your data sheet)

So if at your location VDSL possible you must connect o2 and ask for a technology exchange to VDSL. o2 will ask at the local provider and if it is possible o2 will change your connection to VDSL.

Hi @kalvacherla,

as you signed the contract there was no VDSL available. So you got a ADSL connection with up to 16 Mbit/s. If you check 14,1 Mbit/s it is nearly the maximum to reach for.

We can try to order a VDSL port, but we can't promise. If you agree pls let us know.

KR Manga
Hi ,

Great and thanks for all the answers and your time explaining me what it is.

Is the migration from ADSL to VDSL for free as when I went to the O2 store to get this DSL connection this was never discussed with me that I am signing up for minimal 6MBPS connection, what I saw was 50MBPS board on front of the store and walked in to get the connection .

I want the speed I saw on the board in front of the store 50MBPS , obviously I asked for that speed and I do not know what to do now.

I do not want to pay any extra money
Please note that there is still hardware out in the wild not abled to handle VDSL. So maybe you'll need new hardware which might be non-free. What DSL modem do you use?
I was selected to have an O2 HomeBox2 6641 Box VDSL WLAN Internet Modem *28 . As mentioned by O2 while purchasing this model is capable of VDSL .

If there is no requirement of the new VDSL wifi modem as I already have the O2 O2 HomeBox2 6641 Box VDSL WLAN Internet Modem *28 .

Now I am really interested in getting an VDSL connection if there is no need to pay any extra fee .
Hi,

I changed your tariff to o2 My Home M to get a VDSL port. The fee remains the same. The change is free of charge. You don't need a new device.

You will get a confimation about the details.

KR Manga
Hi ,

I would thank a lot for giving me the 50MBPS , as I understand from my contract I should still have no limitation on how much data I download and how much data I upload .

So is this still the same as I remember I signed for O2 MY HOME M plan .

From the O2 website for O2 MY HOME M plan there is no data limitation how much I download or How much I upload from the website .

Surfing with up to 50 MBit / s in the download and up to 10 MBit / s in the upload without data choke *

https://www.o2online.de/e-shop/dsl-festnetz/o2-my-home-m?ohne-router=true

Please confirm the limitation or no limitation on data download and upload .

Thanks again in advance for all the details and help .

When can I expect to get a confirmation on the same .

Warm Regards,
Hello,

Can someone please confirm on my data usage and limitations on my O2 DSL PLAN.

thanks in advance ,
According to the price list for O2 my Home M (https://static2.o9.de/resource/blob/69456/4e596219346c8cc060946edcb5013894/dsl-preisliste-consumer-pdf-download-data.pdf):

5.000 to 50.000 kBit/s down stream

700 to 10.000 kBit/s up stream

surfing with max speed: unlimited
Good ,

Thanks for providing the tarrif plan and unlimited upload and unlimited download details .

With respect to following reply from you . Can I know when will my DSL be migrated to VDSL . what all will be needed to be done from My side .

This is a customer forum. Only users with an o2_ prefix are related to o2. So maybe @o2_Manga will provide additional information on the state of your technology transition.

As there are multiple providers involved in the process expect a couple of weeks.
Someone responsible should answer my questions, I Know I entered into contract with O2 DSL only because O2 is giving 50MBPS. But after 9 months over in my contract period now you mention there need to be weeks time before technology transfer only after I complained that you are not providing 50MBPS , want to understand what is O2 doing to the promised customers around Europe are you doing same to every customer in Europe .

So does it mean that I should not pay the bill unless O2 provide what O2 promised to provide to a customer and without providing what is promised to a customer O2 has taken my money it's the customer is paying money and not getting what is signed in the contract of promised 50 MBPS.

I know technology transfer takes time but at first from last 9 months what was promised is not provided to the customer but O2 has been taking money for what is promised.

O2 has to send me letter notifying that the technology transfer From what is not promised to what is promised of 50MBPS will take so much time. Additional O2 have first not provided the promised speed and taking the money for what is promised 50MBPS
I am sorry for asking but is this the same way that O2 treats every customer, as I am asking what I have been in contract and signed for 50MBPS and I want want O2 has signed in agreement with me.

I have the contract documents and they say it is 50 MBPS I am signed for.
Hi Good Evening ,

My DSL is not working . No Internet for so long time for first time .

Who told to put my DSL on locked mode , why did this happen I received following message but even now my DSL connection is not working no internet

If resetting and reinstalling the router with your DSL credentials does not bring any improvment please call our technical DSL departement. If you do not speak any german at all I sugegst to call with a friend of yours since we can not promise that you will reach an english speakign agent.

Regards,

Howdy,

use the DSL Hilfe App.

https://hilfe.o2online.de/router-software-internet-telefonie-34/was-kann-die-o2-dsl-hilfe-app-236465

Follow the instruction, if you are unable to solve the Problem with the app you get a service code. If so, call the phone number given with the app, and tell the supporter you service code (from the app). So you don't have do to every thing twice.

And if you scroll down on the 2nd link you will find this link...

Why is my DSL internet connection is still not 50 MBPS
Hello @kalvacherla,

if you recieve a low speed of a computer that is connected via LAN cable please make sure that no other device is connected. If the speed still does not increase please contact our technical DSL hotline. Unfortunately we can not solve this issue here in the forum.

Hi @o2_Manga ,
I have the same problem as the topic starter. Could you please check if it’s possible to switch to VDSL from ADSL for me as well? I’ve checked max speed on https://www.o2online.de/e-shop/dsl-festnetz and it’s 250 Mb/s for my address now. So, I believe it should be possible. I have a Home M tariff, but still have 16/1 limitation.
Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Evgeny

I have the same problem as of the creator of this thread. I just checked my address and it shows it can have max 250 Mbps. When I started the contract that time I had correct speed as of my contract since last month I am having only 14Mbps Down and 1Mbps Up speed. I have O2-Home-Box 6641.

Kindly do the needful and solve the issue.

Regards,

Shahabaz

@sbz Can you look you dsl username? mein o2 customer account Tarif&Optionen/Vertrag verwalten/Zugangsdaten für ihren Router.

Did your username ends with s92-bbi-o2.de (ADSL Port max 16Mbit) or s93-bbi-o2.de (VDSL Port max. 100 Mbit)

I want sure that your dsl line card did not have a problem and you get an emergency fall back profile.
