hi , i owna mobile number for more than 5 years and i tried to recharge my account like 100 times since Thursday using my master card , my Visa card and even paypal and i always get an error although in the last trial using paypal I received a confirmation message from my bank that the money was withdrawn from my account

appreciate if you can help me with 3 things :

1- how to make sure that the line doesn't get closed as i use it when ever i'm back to the EU

since the i can't recharge the account

2- how to contact the support who doesn't chat except in German while  I can't call there international number  as i'm outside EU

3- how to confirm if the money was already received from my paypall account kindly only

Have you possibly not used the number for a very long time? Prepaid numbers become inactive after a certain time.

yes that's true i haven't traveled for some time unfortunately

I can put the sim card in my phone, will that reactivate it ?

but the question is

I was told i have to recharge before 31st of July which I failed to do

if i reactivate the SIM now will i be able to charge the line ? and will they keep it alive ?


When did you charge the SIM the last time?

There are two steps if you don’t charge the card for a longer time.

First step is that the credit is “frozen” and you can’t use the SIM for outgoing calls until you charge the card with minimum 1cent. In this case, reactivation is possible.

Second step is that the card becomes inactive. Then you can’t reactivate the SIM.

 

If you call the number, what happens?

 

my card is charged with 24 Euros actually , i charge the account each 3 or 6 month ( once i get a reminder email from O2)

but the SIM card  is not installed in my phone , last time used last September

 


Hey @fadyW,

The tip from Stefanniehaus is very helpful. The easiest way to find out what is wrong with the card is to call the number of the card. What announcement text will you get then?

i did call and the message is of course in german which i don't understand

however i placed the SIM into my mobile , it registered and I placed a call yet i still can't recharge the line

i tried bank cards and paypall but nothing works

my account is valid until 23.8 and yet O2 is not helping me keeping the line and this is absolutly frustrating

given that i preserved the line alive for almost 5 years


Hello @fadyW ,

from what I can see, atleast for the number that is connected to your community account, that the account was charged on the 13th of this month. There is currently no package booked , but aside from that everything looks in order.
