i am travelling to Pakistan, and will be staying there for six months, my question is that whether can i use my O2 prepaids sim there for six months. i just need it to receive SMS for using my bank account, as i receive MTan on my SIM, furthermore what SIM is the best suited for me.

You can use your SIM in Pakistan and receive banking SMS.
If you use your SIM in Pakistan (Ländergruppe 4) please pay attention to the costs:
In case you dont really need your voicemail please deactivate the call forwarding before travelling out of europe (otherwise you pay for incoming call and für outgoing call to germany everytime someone is calling your number).
