I was on O2 M prepaid monthly package and I have just ordered a new package which is the annual prepaid package. I (incorrectly) assumed this would take over my old package on the sim I have, however it seems I am being issued with a new sim card. How do I cancel the old package and migrate the old number to the new sim card? The app is all in German and I am struggling.

 

If you have activated the new prepaid card using the identification process, submit this form. First, release the old phone number in the o2 app. By porting your phone number, the old prepaid card is automatically canceled.

Is there no way to just do it online? Once I have submitted the form how long does it take to transfer the number? will I be without a phone number for this period? 

 


No, it doesn't work online. It takes between 7 and 10 days. You will remain reachable on your number until porting.
