Hi,

I have been using O2 Homespot M for more than 6 months. It was okay, For the past 3 days, the internet is very slow. The download speed sometime goes down to 10 MBPS and Upload is .02 MBPS. The internet is completely Unusable.

At the same time for a O2 Mobile Network, the Download Speed goes up to 48 MBPS and the Upload speed goes Upto 14 MBPS. If there is a problem with the Substation, then it should affect both the Networks and not just Home Spot. I tried Calling Customer care almost 5 times and did not get a satisfying reply. I even took it to the nearest O2 shop. Still no use. Can you kindly let me know what could be the problem over here. The Home Spot is in the same place for the past 6 months, near the window, and the issue is only for the past 4 days. Even the Website shows that there are no network Issues in this region.

edit o2_Tobias: transferred from DSL English to Mobile English Community

Hi @abj

welcome to our English Community. I just moved your thread to the correct English Board as your issue has nothing to do with DSL.

Have you seen any improvements in the last 3 days?

If not, please go to our online Livecheck. If you do not see any connection-issues there after you have filled in the complete address where you have these performance-issues, just press the button “Ich stimme nicht zu” and fill out the questions. Our technical department will check that and you will get a reply by SMS.

You find further information about this procedure also here:

Additionally, which router do you use together with your o2 HomeSpot-tariff? It might be that your router uses different LTE-bands than other mobile tariffs.

I hope that these suggestions are helpful for you.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hi Tobias,

Thanks for your reply. Yes. There was some improvement. I was using the normal O2 Homepot router that came with the Connection. But then I changed the router as well to TP Link. This provided a huge difference. The connection was better and also faster. I think the router was not so good. Anyways, the Online Live Check was not showing any issues and I have raised a complaint as well.

---regards.

Hello @abj, thank you for your feedback :-)

I am glad to hear that the speed improved. It is possible that the mobile phone you are using suppurtsa more LTE frequencies than the o2 Homespot hence it can conect to more antennas in the vicinity.

Regards,

Lars
