SIM card activation problem

Hi! I have received a New prepaid SIM and had the POSTIDENT done in local post office on 28 April. In a day I had a O2 chat conversation with the operator. She claimed that identifications done in Postoffices can take up to 48 hours. I waited a few more days and nothing happened.  I don’t speak German at all, so it makes it difficult to have a Video Identification or call a helpline.

Any advice?

Hi @Emulsija,

welcome to our English community.

Thanks for your message concerning the activation of your sim-card.

I have just sent a private message via @o2_Support to you. Please answer there my request.

Afterwards, we will come back here again.

Hi @Emulsija,

until now, I have not yet received a response from you under @o2_Support.

Is your issue concerning the activation of your prepaid-card already solved?

I look forward to your reply.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hello. This activation process is a total nonesense. My wife has entered her name and surname, but in the passaport it includes also her previous surname, so no one accepts the passaport for activation in video and we can not try more than 3 times I think. And once you enter your data and sim/phone number, you never can edit your info that system does not allow it. I regret to spend 15 eu for this scam! So please I need advice for how can I return this card or how can I activate it (seems impossible)??

Hi @burakmd

I welcome you to our English Community.

“Scam” is always a big word, and in most cases is not the case.

Did you already try to do the postident instead? Just have a look here:

Did you manage to activate and register your prepaid-card with these instructions?

Loving greetings,

Tobias
