Renewing contract with family discount


Hi,

 

We have 2 mobile phone contracts with o2. Unfortunately when we signed up they did not tell us in the shop that there is the family bonus, so we have two separate contracts, under separate customer numbers.

The 2 year contracts will expire in this year, mine in september and her in december. I already see that mine can be prolonged, but the offers I see are worse than the ones I see under the ‘for o2 customers’ section on the website.

my question is how it would be possible to get the ‘for o2 customers’ tariffs for prolonging the contracts?

another question is that with my current contract I have a phone included. I do not want a new phone now, but is it possible to include a phone later on during the next 2 year I’ll sign up for?

Hello @T_bee, welcome at our community.

I am sure that we can make you and your partner a good offer.

If you choose a bundle (Smartphone with contract prolonging), we can make you an offer with an hardwarediscount that will count towards your contract. So a smartphone always costs the same, but wirth a prolonging, we can give you a discount at the mobile contract.

thanks for getting back to me. For now I’m happy with my current phone, so we’d only need the contracts prolonged now, and maybe later opt for a new phone.

Since it’s not possible to go to a shop due to the lockdown, how can I get the family offer?

great that you would like to have a good offer for you and your partner. 

 

Are the contracts with the same contract owner? If not, please fill out the following form: Change of contract owner

 

If the contracts are already with the same contract owner, we can just combine the 2 contracts under one customer-number. 

 

In both cases, if you prolong the 2 contracts you will get either the change of contract owner (normally 34,99 €) or the combination under one customer number (normally 29,99 €) for free. 

 

This is the first step that has to be done before I can send you an offer. 

 

In order to check which case applies to you, I will send a private message under @o2_VVL to you to get the details of the contract of your partner.

As I see the 2 contracts have 2 different contract owners. Therefore, please fill out the following form:  Change of contract owner 

 

As soon as you received a confirmation that both of your contracts have the same contract owner-name, please come back here to our English Community so that I can give you a nice offer.

thanks, I’ll move the other contract under my name too. This page states that it has a fee of 35 eur, but previously you’v mentioned that it’s free if we prolong the contract. How does that work, will I be charged and then refunded, or I won’t be charged with this fee in the first place?

do not worry, you will normally not be charged with this fee if you decide to prolong your contracts. 

 

I have made a notice that the change should be done for free. 

 

Please let me know when you receive a confirmation that the change of owner is done.

Now, it´s time for a good offer. 

 

How much data-volume do you need for both contracts?

 

For the mobile phone number -789 at the end, you will also get a combination-benefit.

is it possible to have combined data volume for the cards? I think total 20 Gigabytes would be fine.

if it’s not possible, then ~10 giga per cards would be also ok. Additionally, it would be nice to have the multi-card option for one of the contracts

I have just sent 4 offers to you by e-mail. 

 

For the number -789 at the end, you have the possibility either to get a 5€-combination-benefit with the 10 GB-tariff or a 50%-combination-tariff with the 40 GB-tariff. It´s your choice. :wink:
